My work is inspired by my interests in cosmetics, clothing and furniture. I have used the red of lipsticks and blushers blended together to create an evocative collection of red and pink imagery which relate to the body. The rich qualities of materials and surfaces interest me in the development of the pieces as does the combination of contrasting colours and textures. My work explores the ideas of faded glamour and celebrates the beauty of ageing through gradual changes and the transition of colours. The latest work develops these ideas into sculptural works for a variety of locations.

I work with stitch and weave; often combining techniques and materials working with Hand and Machine Embroidery, Tapestry Weaving and 3D vessels using whimsical ideas to show my creative passions.
