World collections- Bexhill Museum

Last month I lead a course looking at the World Collections at Bexhill Museum, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. The group used the collection to inspire their embroidered book jackets. The displays re part of the Uniques project which aims at uncovering Ethnography in Kent and Sussex. www.uniquesproject.org.uk Here are the results of the 5 week Embroidery course-

Daily drawing

Every day since the start of 2012 I have made a drawing. It is a great way to start the day and to focus my mind on looking closely at objects. At the moment I am looking at flowers. Spring is a wonderful time for fabulously shaped blooms.
