My work explores the ideas of faded glamour&nbsp;and celebrates the beauty of ageing through gradual changes and the transition of colours. The latest work develops these ideas into sculptural works inspired by a variety of locations especially my local beach searching for sea treasures, the flotsum and jetsam of the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I spend a lot of time at Charleston House, Firle the East Sussex home of the Bloomsbury Group. the aesthetics of the house and garden are a significant inspiration for my work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I work with stitch and weave; often combining techniques and materials working with Hand and Machine Embroidery, Tapestry Weaving and 3D vessels using whimsical ideas to show my creative passions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Text and image copyright \u00a9 Claire Buckley 2023 <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My work is inspired by my interests in colour, pattern and texture.
