World collections- Bexhill Museum
Last month I lead a course looking at the World Collections at Bexhill Museum, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. The group used the collection to inspire their embroidered book jackets. hot off the loom
These small tapestries use my signature colour blending techniques. The patterns are taken from drawings made at the beautiful Indian Durbar Hall at Hastings Museum. I have used fragments of the pattern to highlight the intensity of the image and the elusive nature of the patterns.
