World collections- Bexhill Museum

Last month I lead a course looking at the World Collections at Bexhill Museum, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. The group used the collection to inspire their embroidered book jackets. The displays re part of the Uniques project which aims at uncovering Ethnography in Kent and Sussex. Here are the results of the 5 week Embroidery course-

Machine Embroidered Mosaic

I am currently teaching Machine embroidery at my studio. I like to show the students work that I have made to inspire them and to encourage experimentation. This machine embroidery is from my embroidered book Los Zapatos Rojo which is based on a visit to Barcelona by a small child.
