Loom(ing) questions

I have had several questions about my loom so I thought that I would put all the information together in one post. This very useful old book shows the loom that I use and a photo of a loom that William Morris gave to the museum. The diagram of the loom shows a continuous warp which is held by a dowel. My loom (on the Home page) is a based on an Ashford carpet loom. Similar ones are available in the Ashford catalogue, see page 14/15.

I like the fact that I can alter the height of the loom from the top to adjust the tension on the warp.
